25hours Hotel Terminus Nord

Everything!!. The comfort and cleanliness were excellent. The breakfast was excellent, too. The quality of the food was very good indeed and was all very well cooked and presented. The thought and planning in the decor is great. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a great size with a very effective non slip floor. The size of the shower cubicle was excellent. The water had good temperature and pressure. The hotel is obviously making strides to be eco friendly. Just our sort of place. The mini bar/fridge for your first night is free. Water. Snacks and beer. Very welcome. Straight across the road from Gare du Nord.

The location was good but a bit noisy. Gare Du Nord was across the street and was busy as you would expect. The side streets leading to the station was also a bit noisy even with the windows closed. There was a Metro entrance right in front of the hotel making it easy to start your journey around Paris. The room had a mini bar which was free for the 1st night. The fridge was useful to store your bought drinks from the nearby shops. We dined round the corner (about 50m walk) every morning in one of the best boulangerie's in Paris. Definitely a highlight of the trip!

Easy Access to Eurostar. There are a lot of Shops and dining nearby. There was a lounge area with a DJ which was unexpected but nice. The manager made sure that rooms were ready for all guests coming in and the check in check out process was very easy. A huge plus is that all staff members spoke English which decreased the language barrier (even though we tried our best to speak in French first lol) The room gave a very cozy feel and reminded me of the french quarters in New Orleans. The bathrooms were very clean and had a nice gold theme to them. Rooms also had a complimentary mini bar with a few beers, water, and some sweets. Room service offered a full menu instead of a limited option.

I did not expect much from any hotel in Paris, but I was pleasantly surprised by 25hours Terminus. It is spacious, clean, quiet, luxurious, has the best bath products ever (that hand soap, mmmmm!), staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant on the first floor was exceptional (special shout out to the waiters, who accommodated my many extra wishes). The room was decorated in a quirky, eclectic style, which was a nice and different touch. As we needed to hop onto the Eurostar very early the next morning, the location was super convenient - you literally just need to fall across the road. There's not one sound from the terminal audible in the room though, and thankfully we could also keep the windows closed due to air condition. All in all, a fantastiv experience and a true game changer for our train journeys to London.

The hotel is stylish (though maybe not to everyone's taste), offers a good breakfast, has rooms with solid bathrooma/showers and is incredibly convenient for the railway stations. Clean and comfortable and doesn't feel like a somewhere you are just tolerating while travelling. I would have no issue staying more than one night there at a time. The area around GdN does not have a good reputation but there are some nice looking cafes/bars very close by and in my three single night stays there I've never had any issues with anyone.
